First poster for “Titanic 3D” Never Lets Go

Remember the first time you saw Titanic in theaters? Remember the second time you saw Titanic in theaters? Remember the seventieth time you saw Titanic in theaters?

Now it’s time to set sail once again with the movie that made us fall in love with Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet and icebergs. on April 6, the highest grossing movie of all time returns to theaters for Titanic 3D, a new stereoscopic transfer of the movie supervised by the grandmaster of three dimensional filmmaking, James Cameron.

All kidding aside, Titanic really is a masterpiece and one I look forward to revisiting on the biggest screen possible. That said, is 3D too much for this kind of horrific experience? Sure, we remember all the wide-eyed gazing and centerfuge-style dancing, but do I need to watch the obliteration of an entire ship’s worth of people in 3D? The enhancement on the film isn’t meant to make the steamy backseat scene any steamier, but to make the large-scale “action” more immersive. The sequence featuring the (spoiler) sinking ship will be amplified ten fold by the new medium, but can people handle that? I suppose they did the first time around, but I can only imagine Cameron’s new toy will a bring a new level of terror to Titanic, a film most remember as an epic love story.

The first poster for the re-release movie has debuted on Facebook and pushes the romance first. No surprise there — that’s what made it the biggest hit in cinematic history. The only question is: how many more times do you need to see the movie?

Elizabeth Olsen: “Kate Winslet inspired me to bare all”

Elizabeth Olsen has credited Kate Winslet with giving her the “courage” to bare all on camera after fearing she would ruin her career by stripping off.

The Hollywood newcomer, who is the younger sister of actress twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, was terrified about shooting naked scenes for new movie Martha Marcy May Marlene.

But after seeing Winslet appear completely nude in 1999 movie Holy Smoke, the 22 year old admits she felt inspired to shed her clothes for the drama, in which she plays a young woman who flees from a cult.

She explains, “(Martha Marcy May Marlene is) only my second film, I got nervous. ‘Wait, does this set a precedent for me? Are people going to think I’m just game for that?’ Because I’m not. When it’s sensationalized or gratuitous, I have no interest in it. But for this movie, it’s so a part of the nature theme that’s explored and the loss of identity…

“Kate Winslet in that film (Holy Smoke) has much more difficult, physically vulnerable scenes than I did in this movie and it was so impactful. And I was thinking, ‘Look at her career now. She’s not pigeonholed, it just is the story.’ And that was a lesson to learn, to look up to her career as something that’s pretty ideal in my mind… That gave me a type of courage of being like, ‘I’m going to support the movie, this tells the story better, this is important for the story and that’s that.'”

Kate Winslet proud to be curvaceous

Kate Winslet loves her curvy figure and makes sure to wear clothes that flatter her hour-glass shape.

“I’m lucky to go in and out at the right places, proportionately that’s something I have inherited from my mother. I enjoy my shape and my curves. At the same time, you have to know how to dress,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted Winslet as saying.

“If you are hippy, then pleats off the waist? Forget it! You absolutely cannot wear them. It’s about knowing how to work with the right fabric,” she added.

The 35-year-old has two children, Mia, 11, her daughter with first husband Jim Threapleton, and seven-year-old Joe, her son with estranged spouse Sam Mendes.

“Less is more”: Kate Winslet reveals her intimate beauty secrets and how she is like Kate Middleton

As a mother-of-two who is constantly on the go you might think Kate Winslet would need a little extra help looking every inch the glamourous Hollywood star.

But the Oscar winning actress has revealed her golden beauty rule, “less is more”.

And in an interview in December’s InStyle magazine the 36-year-old actress reveals like Kate Middleton she always does her own make-up.

It is certainly paying off as the 36-year-old looked simply stunning in her latest photo shoot.

She said: “I like to do my own make-up. I believe in less is more. Recently, I wore a simple, black Victoria Beckham column dress with long sleeves and small, gold belt detailing on the front.

“I knew that a curly hairdo would have completely gone against the dress, so we went for a high sculpted ponytail, with a little bit of height in the front. It pulled the whole look together.”

“Glamour to me is about remaining graceful and understated.

“For example, with very bold lip colors, you can’t overdo the rest of your face.

“With a bright-red party lipstick, just go with lots of mascara and keep everything else clean. I love Lancôme’s L’Absolu Rouge lipstick, as it lasts. Unless you spend the whole night snogging, you won’t need to reapply it.”

But the star of Mildred Pierce could be needing to reapply that make-up as her new romance with Ned Rocknroll, who is nephew of business tycoon Richard Branson, is said to be still going strong.

The pair met at Branson’s house and have officially been an item since August.

Her new beau has met her two children Mia, whose father is director, Jim Threapleton, and Joe, who was born in 2003 during Kate’s marriage to another director, Sam Mendes.

And it seems Kate’s style is set to become truly timeless as a wax work was recently unveiled of the star at Madame Tussauds.

Winslet takes her place among other British acting talents such as Dame Helen Mirren and Dame Judi Dench and marks her 20th year in the industry.

Winslet won the Best Actress award for her title role in miniseries Mildred Pierce and gave an emotional speech upon accepting the award.

She jumped out of her seat and punched the air as she walked up to the stage and said: “Oh look I really did win it.Thank you so so much this means such a great deal.”

Gallery: Kate Winslet immortalized with her wax-replica at Madame Tussauds

Kate Winslet, the gorgeous British-born Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning actress has become the latest star entrant to be immortalized in wax. She has been honored with her own replica in wax at London’s top attraction — Madame Tussauds on Wednesday, November 9, 2011

The stunning wax-replica of the 36-year-old Titanic actress is being exhibited alongside British acting divas like Dame Helen Mirren and Oscar winning actress Judi Dench. According to Liz Edwards, the Public Relations Manager at Madame Tussauds, it was the general public who voted Winslet into this attraction.

She informed that Kate Winslet has been the most requested personalities for the wax model at the museum in London. The PR team actually asked their guests “who they would like to see in a poll and she (Winslet) actually came top of a list in the poll so that’s why she’s here today,” informed Edwards to Reuters Television.

Guests from all over the world voted for Kate Winslet overwhelmingly, clearly indicating that she has got far-reaching global appeal. “Winslet is indeed an iconic actress of a generation …A true English Rose and we’re delighted to be creating a figure of her,” Edwards added gushingly.

The model-makers had spent several months painstakingly perfecting Winslet’s figure and her wax replica has been draped in a red cap-sleeve Elie Saab dress. This is the same dress Winslet wore when she went to collect her Emmy Award, earlier this year.
