Kate shines at the “Titanic 3D World Premiere”

Kate Winslet walked the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall last Tuesday, March 27, looking every inch the Hollywood movie star thanks to a full-length gown in black silk crepe with Swarovski crystal cap sleeves and matching waist detail. Rose DeWitt Bukater would be proud. Although the beautiful English rose was without co-star Leonardo DiCaprio on her arm, she flawlessly accessorized the look with a striking red lip and her blonde tresses swept into a classic retro style. As for those sparkly jewels, the 1950s diamond Day and Night earrings, bracelet and 1940s yellow square cut cocktail ring are from English jewellery house, Goode & Son. Yep, 15 years after playing the iconic role, Kate looks as breathtaking as ever.

The gorgeous gown for the night’s premiere comes courtesy of Jenny Packham and is inspired by the British designer’s Autumn Winter 2012 Film Noir collection. When the collection hit the catwalk in New York last month, we were bowled over by the femme fatale frocks with plunging necklines and crystal embellishments that suit La Winslet’s old school glamour to perfection. Because, of course, Kate is a long-time fan of Packham’s work, having worn several of her designs on red carpets across the globe.
