Kate Winslet has always been celebrated for her refusal to conform to Hollywood stereotypes.
And at first glance, Kate appeared to have taken her boycott too far as she was pictured looking extremely haggard and aged.
But the actress hasn’t totally abandoned her beauty regime and was simply in costume her latest film role.
Kate, 32, is starring alongside Ralph Fiennes in Stephen Daldry’s post-world war II drama, The Reader, based on the novel by Bernhard Schlink.
The film, currently being shot on location in Germany, sees Kate playing an older woman involved with a young man.

This ghost is a world star!

What’s here just going across the Kantstrasse (Charlottenburg) is only looking like a ghost…
The woman underneath the towel is Hollywood star Kate Winslet (32, Titanic) during the shooting of The Reader a film based on the novel by Bernhard Schlink (63).
Right in front of the land registry she got screened by photographers so that she was able to creep into the mask. According to set Рinsiders Winslet totally pored into her role and is hardly addressable at the film set. But mercifully she is it in the film: Yesterday she had a shooting with Hollywood colleague Ralph Fiennes (45). Further recordings are going to be shot in the memorial place Hohensch̦nhausen.

“The Reader” filming continues…
On Friday evening Hollywood star Kate Winslet was landing at the airport “Tegel” with her children Mia (7) and Joe (4). The reason for her new visit: The shooting for the film version of the novel The Reader by Bernhard Schlink is going to be continued.

Actress admits she’s not flawless
Kate Winslet loves products by New York facialist Tracie Martyn.
She uses the Amla Purifying Cleanser, around £32, and Firming Serum, around £91, from Tracie’s collection.
Kate has a blemish on her left cheek, caused by a badly broken capillary, so has to conceal it.
“I cover it everyday”, she reveals.
