Interview: Luc Jacquet on The Fox and the Child

Director Luc Jacquet came to prominence in 2005 with the Oscar winning documentary The March of the Penguins, a surprise hit which also won the Oscar for Best Documentary.

His latest film is called The Fox and the Child which is the charming story of the relationship between a young girl (Bertille Noël-Bruneau) and the wild fox she befriends. It is narrated by Kate Winslet.

I spoke to Luc recently about the film and you can listen to the interview here:

I have added two of the rarest finds to the audio files. One is of Kate narrating chapters 1 to 21 of “Sense And Sensibility” by Jane Austen and the other one is of her narrating the first part of “The Enchanted Wood” by Enid Blyton. I didn’t add the whole books because they are extremely rare and I want them to stay this way, but I’d also like to share a part of them with you, so here they are…

Scans + The Face In The Lake

I got my copy of “Listen To The Storyteller” yesterday and extracted Kate’s narration of “The Face In The Lake”. For those unfamiliar with it, it’s an audio book released in 1999 and it won a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album for Children in 2000.
